UniFi Dream Machine Deployment — Joondalup Professional Suite

End-to-end UniFi Network, Protect and Access deployment for a multi-tenant Joondalup professional suite — one stack, three integrated services.

Overview

A multi-tenant professional suite in Joondalup wanted a single, premium technology stack across networking, cameras and door access — not three different vendors with three different apps. We delivered an end-to-end UniFi deployment built around a UniFi Dream Machine Pro Max, with Network, Protect and Access all running from one console.

Tenants get isolated VLANs and their own Wi-Fi SSIDs, while building management retains visibility over the common areas, lobby cameras and main-entry intercom. Mobile credentials let tenants admit clients via their phones, and after-hours building access is logged and time-limited.

One vendor, one app, one phone call when anything needs attention — that's the value of going full UniFi on a build like this.

Equipment used

  • UniFi Dream Machine Pro Max
  • UniFi Network — Switch Pro 24 PoE + U6 Pro APs per floor
  • UniFi Protect G5 Bullet cameras at common-area entries
  • UniFi Access door readers on main entry, comms room and shared meeting suites
  • UniFi Talk handsets at reception

Outcomes

  • Single UniFi console for network, cameras, access and voice
  • Per-tenant VLAN and Wi-Fi isolation
  • Mobile credentials for tenants and contractors
  • Time-limited after-hours building access with full audit logs

FAQ

Common questions

Why go all-UniFi instead of mixing vendors?+

A single-vendor stack means one console, one app, one support contact and seamless integration between cameras, door access and network — without the licensing and compatibility headaches of mixing vendors.

Can tenants self-manage their own VLAN?+

Tenants get a clean Wi-Fi SSID and isolated VLAN, while building management retains the master controller. Tenant IT can be granted scoped access if needed.

Is UniFi Talk worth it at reception?+

For multi-tenant lobbies it's a tidy way to handle inbound calls and intercom integration — but we'll honestly tell you when a traditional handset makes more sense.
