Replaced legacy key system with UniFi Access door readers, mobile credentials and centralised visitor logging across 12 doors at a Welshpool freight site.
Overview
A Welshpool distribution facility was running on physical keys and a hand-written visitor book — a nightmare every time staff turned over or a contractor was on site after hours. We replaced the lot with a UniFi Access deployment covering 12 doors including the main personnel entry, dock office, server room, secure cage and amenities.
Every staff member now carries a mobile credential on their phone. Contractors get time-limited access generated from the UniFi Access dashboard, with full audit logs of who opened what door and when. Integrated UniFi Protect cameras tie face capture to each unlock event.
The site manager now grants and revokes access from a single web console, and the facility's compliance and insurance reporting is dramatically simpler.
